Australian first: SCF Group launches liquid containment frac tank

In a national first, the SCF Group has unveiled its first in-house designed frac tank for the local oil and gas mining sectors.

General Manager of SCF’s Tank Containers division, Jamie Driscoll, said that SCF had fast-tracked development of the liquid containment frac tank in response to industry demand.

“With large development projects underway in north Queensland and new projects coming on line in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, the unconventional gas market – such as coal seam and shale oil gas - is Australia’s fastest-growing industry,” he said.

“Our in-house engineers have developed this new frac tank to be used in a multi-model design for fast, economical mobilisation to site." Read more
